Inclusive and Quality Education:
  • Identification of out-of-school children, particularly girls, children with disabilities, and children from Dalit communities, is being conducted by the Child Protection Committee (CPC) and the education management committee.

  • In coordination with the Education Department (EDU), 8 extra learning classes for low-learning students (girls and boys) of grades 6, 7, and 8 were conducted in Kanakasundari RM, benefiting 75 low-learner students directly.

  • 75 school teachers received training on Gender Transformative and Classroom Management. People with disabilities received training on advocacy.

  • The project supported 12 sponsorship families by providing their children with copies, pens, pencils, geometry boxes, and reading/story books to continue extending educational assistance. With this support, children continue to join the school.

  • The project developed three modern scientific labs in the working area of a government school. More than 200 school students from classes 8, 9, and 10 have benefited from these labs.

  • The project has developed a safe, child-friendly, and resourceful classroom learning environment model classroom at Kolichari School and Rastriya Mabi Malikabota-02 in the Kanakasundari R.M. More than 88 students from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades are beneficiaries of the program.

  • A total of 18 SMC/PTA members from government schools were trained on the topics of climate change, disasters, and humanitarian action. They revised their School Improvement Plan (SIP) to incorporate education in emergencies and protection during emergencies.

  • With the collaboration of Ward No. 8 and ward no.1 project, it has been declared that 100% of children in the school area of Ward No. 8 and ward no.1 of Hima R.M & Kanakasundari are enrolled. The project has also helped to reach and enroll 8 children who were previously out of school.
