VISION
A society where everyone has a dignified life and living conditions.
MISSION
To transform unequal power relations through inclusive and dignity-centered local development.
OBJECTIVES
- To educate and empower women, children, and adolescents for their rights
- To ensure sustainable access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities and services
- To foster adaptive livelihoods and diverse income opportunities
- To enhance institutional capacity and policy support for dignity-centric local development
PROGRAM STRATEGIES
- Community Empowerment: This strategy will organize the women, children, and adolescents into groups together with wider communities, educate and empower them on their rights so that they will be able to understand, defend, and practice their rights including their dignity. A separate modular course will be introduced where participatory learning and actions will take place. The integration of modular courses with school education (formal) will significantly offer opportunities to vulnerable and marginalized children and adolescents to access quality education.
- Demonstration of Model Communities, School, and Palika: All the interventions will be focused on selected schools, communities, and Palika so that they will be developed and demonstrated as models for others to learn and replicate. This focused intervention will also reduce the cost of operation and increase the effectiveness of the projects creating synergy.
- Evidence-based Advocacy and Campaigning: To influence the policy process for the development of dignity-centered local policies especially related to education, employment, livelihoods, and local governance, evidence generated from the implementation of projects and models will be widely circulated through publication and media partnership.
- Coordination, Collaboration, and Multi-Stakeholder Partnership: Coordination, collaboration, and partnership with multiple stakeholders is crucial to take collective actions for far-reaching and effective results, especially in creating synergy leading to the demonstration of new models.
